Mystery Jets - Serotonin (2010)

In England, the Mystery Jets host their own head-turning club nights and find themselves no strangers to the Top 40, but mention their name in the U.S. and you’re likely as not to be met with a blank stare. It’s certainly no reflection on their hook-filled, edgy-but-melodic sound — only one of their albums has even been released in America, so Yanks haven’t really had a fair chance. Their third, Serotonin, is initially an import-only release too, so an American round of Mysterymania doesn’t seem likely at the moment, but the faithful on both sides of the pond should be sated by an record that’s been helmed by legendary Britrock producer Chris Thomas.~ Jim Allen/Prefixmag
